This is. . .well, I won't say it's the hardest like everyone does because there's literally Quarantine Zone but my goodness is this level just pisses me off. Imagine having your run being dictated by a RNG element in a FPS. That's Gravemind in a nutshell. You may notice two things in the title. The 1st being the "No Glitch". I'll explain when I get there and the 2nd that there's no "Anger" in it and instead "Storm" (Which is Thunderstorm Skull) is in it. Which is what I'll also explain when I get there. So, people seems to have like their worst nightmare in the first room of this level which I can see why. However, I feel like many doesn't know this one trick that makes them spawn only from 2 doors. Which is to say, go to the very back of the room and wait for them to spawn. It'll be a hell lot easier. Especially if you supercombine one brute and follow up with a Plasma Nade stick on another and most likely berserking Brute. Before I continue on to the Prison and I don't know how many people noticed this but in Halo 2, Enemies CAN be alerted to a dead body. Which is why on 7:30, You see me not jumping down and instead looking under to scan the floor. With that said and as far as I have noticed, there are 2 reasons why players will be instantly noticed when you are about to land on the Prison. Excluding LASO runs cause That's Just Wrong is basically the reason at that point. It's because a dead body landed on the "panel" on the Grav Lift from your previous engagement or A Jackal Spawns middle top from where the lift is which WILL get you spotted. Yep. Cancerous ain't it? So remember that I said something about "I'll explain when I get there" earlier? Yeah this is also the part where I address them. I attempted to do multiple times of doing this Prison with Anger but after like 50 attempts, I only ended up getting out once only to die to a POST MORTEM BRUTE SHOT. So yes. I am not dealing with that. And to begin with, to survive the initial assault after you land on the grav lift is almost impossible to do so as their burst damage from Anger Skull is well, let's just say that this is the part where that skull is the most dangerous. As for the "No Glitch", Notice how every enemy died on the Grav Lift in 29:23. It's a known glitch where if you stay on the bottom floor of the Prison, they somehow just automatically die. Now, I am going to explain and fucking justify myself as to why I allowed that to happen. It's really easy. I am NOT going to kill myself for PREVENTING THAT to happen just because Bungie fucked it and that RNG dictates that the bottom floor cell is the 2nd objective and not the first. Right. I am not risking my fucking run which I have attempted over 50 times for this fucking nonsense. Why did I say "Kill myself" during that? Because enemies spawn that's why and to stop that glitch from happening, I have to RUSH to where the enemies spawn. No. I am not doing that. So, the part after the Hunters. There are 4 Jackal Snipers in total and if you managed to have a Fully Charged Beam Rifle land on the level after the Prison Skip by tossing one of them before you jumped into the Grav Lift to the Prison, You'll have it. And it'll be a huge asset as you have seen against the Hunters. Be careful of the Ranger Elites as well. I got killed once by him because he was suddenly aggressive beyond his usual patterns. In 48:30, there's a Jackal Sniper in this part of the level, I would take it out myself but I honestly am never confident with it so I let the Elites / Grunts to do it instead. The Fuel Rod Grunt is extremely capable of killing it and you so pay attention as to where the Grunt shoots. As for the weapon juggling after this part well, It's for insurance. 56:20, I would love to see someone with these conditions go in there without any cover. Because I can't. Therefore I cower. That's about it really. I know next to nothing about this part of the level. 1:02:05, The last Jackal Sniper in this level and certainly, I was confident that I am dead because I did not take it out before the Elites are gone. You have no idea just how hope I have lost upon seeing it alive after the Elites are gone. If you like me have juggled a Extra Beam Rifle from the previous part of the level, Snipe all the way and it's a cakewalk. Just be prepared to snipe the Fuel Rod Grunt when you are withdrawing back to the door though as Fuel Rod Grunt can kill you while you are withdrawing. And that's it really. The Mausoleum is straightforward but you want to take care of the Elites in this order: Fuel Rod, Carbine, Plasma Rifle. Let me remind you that a single Fuel Rod can end your run. As for the beginning of the video, Yeah don't mind that. If there's one thing I hate about Gravemind, it's that you have to depend on the Needler which gives inconsistent results at the beginning. Absolute fucking nonsense and a half.
