It's part of the larger Issaquah Alps trail system, which connects to Cougar and Tiger Mountains. The area has a history of logging, and old roadbeds and remnants of past use can still be seen along the trail. It's a quiet spot, especially in winter, with fewer crowds and a good chance to see local wildlife.
