ESG in India: Corporate Initiatives, Reporting requirements, SEBI and listing requirements In this video we will have a look at the ESG responsibilities on Companies, how they have evolved and how some of the more progressive companies taken up such responsibilities voluntarily. Further, the reporting standards for ESG have also improved dramatically in India. The regulatory requirements also now require companies to provide more disclosure. While this started with CSR initiatives, ESG is a much broader concept. Large companies, currently Top 1000 listed companies are required to make significant disclosures in this area. There are also standardised BRSR reporting requirements. Responsible investors also require significantly higher standards of disclosure. Many companies have near term and medium term goals, often aligned with the UN recommended SDGs. Please watch this video to know more about these initiatives and how they are being extended.
