In this video, I explore why beauty becomes so deeply embedded in identity, why it feels harder to detach from than money or success, and how dating, male validation, and pretty privilege reinforce this conditioning. I also share my own experience of confusing beauty with self-worth, and what it took to begin letting that go. This isn’t about rejecting beauty. We’re naturally drawn to beautiful things, and pretty privilege is real. But when beauty becomes the thing we live through, rather than something we simply live with, it can distort our sense of self, safety, and love.
