Two undefeated teams met up in the Killbuck Savings Bank Game of the Week, as East Knox crashed the Northmor homecoming. On just the second play of the game, Caleb Gallwitz got the first points of the night with a 59 yard run. On the ensuing kick off the Bulldogs set the tone for the night. The defense forced Northmor to go three and out. Caleb Gallwitz weaves through the defense. Gallwtiz would finish the night with 265 yards on 24 carries. Kaiden Lester kept the play alive and moved the ball downfield. Lester then finds Weston MeLick near the sideline. And it wasn’t broke so they did it again on the next play. East Knox wouldn’t add anymore points and switched sides of the field. Caleb Gallwitz runs into the end zone from 12 yards out. The East Knox defense kept the pressure up on Northmor’s Mariotti. Mariotti does find Gavin Ramos, who gives Chase Darr a stiff arm. East Knox found itself in great field position and it’s Lester to Gage Steinmetz for another Bulldog touchdown. The East Knox defense went back to work, shutting down the Northmor offense. Dyer Williams gets into Mariotti’s face, causing him to heave the ball into the East Knox secondary, and on the jump ball it’s Shane Knepp bringing it down for the interception. East Knox would fumble the ball on their next possession and Gage Steinmetz is in the backfield untouched, causing Mariotti to fumble. With East Knox driving, Lester, with a lot of time in the pocket throws an interception by Logan Randolph. Unable to capitalize on the interception, East Knox found itself in the red zone, and Weston Melick rumbles in from three yards out. Northmor got the ball back, but Mariotti had a rough night, throwing another interception as Gage Steinmetz pulls it down. East Knox went back to their ground game as Gallwitz barrels through. Gallwitz again with the ball scores from 5 yards out. Northmor would go three and out. With a running clock, Caleb Gallwitz breaks off 69 yards for his fourth touchdown of the night.
