Seattle Ridge was the last major expansion Sun Valley had, and it was first served by a Hall triple, installed in 1976. Seattle Ridge was replaced with a Yan high speed quad in 1993, on a new alignment starting farther uphill the Broadway trail from the bottom station, and ending to the right of the old triple. Once 1996 rolled around, Seattle Ridge was retrofitted by Doppelmayr. Sun Valley could only afford to replace the fewest components necessary for the lift to operate safely, as all 7 of the Yan high speed quads were retrofitted at the same time. Seattle Ridge is a Yan-Doppelmayr high-speed quad. It follows a mostly consistent pitch up, without any combination or depression assemblies mid-line. It has the same Yan parts and Doppelmayr parts as the other retrofitted high speed quads at Sun Valley, except Christmas and Frenchman's. This lift serves a family area of green runs, though the trails are quite steep for green runs. Still, there is some great terrain over on this part of the mountain, perfect for family skiing.
