Everyone has a heritage - one of the legacies of Bulgaria are the Thracians. The Thracians were not "missing, vanished, lost”(as some like to say). They are within us, in our blood. Today Bulgarians are equal to Thracians + Slavic + Bulgarians. We speak the language of the Slavs, bear the name of the Bulgarians, but also the blood of the Thracians. Along with the blood, we inherited some of their names and customs, for which some likes to say that they are Slavic or Bulgarian. If Thracians were “gone” why their tombs, cities and treasures are still here? Why Herodotus wrote about people who "did not exist"? Thracians are now sunk into oblivion and mystery of the revelation of which contributed greatly Archeologist Prof. Georgi Kitov.
