My sister was in town, so we decided to do a day trip to this coastal town based on what we've heard and seen on youTube videos. It's new, clean and seemed very touristy, in an up and coming way. There are no crowds as from what I hear, most homeowners here are vacation home owners. Maybe when the weather is great, there would be more foot traffic. But the mountain bike trails here are admirable - it's the main outdoor activity the town boasts of (well, you can also go hiking if you want). Beach is right across the street if you're into surfing or just grounding on the sand. There's only 1 bike shop but it's where you can do a rental (and prices are reasonable). The trail system is well marked, there are free parking spaces and even a public restroom near the trail head. You could spend quite a few hours here just going around and around enjoying the trails and getting your workout - it's something residents and vacationers can truly enjoy. If you're driving by on the 101/109, make sure to stop by.
