𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻 Christmas Eve with the Warwickshire Hunt The hunt met at David John Renney & Donna Theresa Renney's Crimscote Downs Farm. They quaffed port and sausage rolls before hunt secretary Sam Butler launched into, what became, a begging bowl speech. He rambled on about preserving 'infrastructure' until the next election and returning to 'natural hunting' (overturning the Hunting Act with a Reform Government) before begging people to hand over their money. The first half of the meet consisted of posing for photos and frolicking around Mark Edward Trehearne Davies Bruton Farm and Admington Hall. Foot sabs kept eyes on while our vehicle team informed Harry Sawyer that his new vehicle hadn't been taxed since the 01st of November. Upon realising this he dumped the car at Bruton Farm and hopped in with a hunt supporter. Convicted huntsman Will Goffe took hounds north towards Smallbrook Barn and began hunting hedgerows. One of our foot teams entered while another remained on the road and was subjected to having items thrown at them by injured whipper in Jack Weedon. With little room to move, Goffe exited south where our foot team were met with an aggressive little masked up man child who threatened to 'smash' a female sabs face in. There was some pushing and shoving from field riders but our foot team weren't fazed and hopped back in the vehicle. The hunt headed into the land behind the meet and began hunting Crimscote Downs. Our foot teams were strategically placed with our vehicle north of the meet with Goffe, who was making no attempt to call off hounds when they began speaking. Instead he allowed them to spill out west in front of vehicles, onto the Stratford Road. Being kept company by our vehicle it seemed that Goffe needed a moment to collect his thoughts and hounds. So he sat at Bruton Farm, while Sam Butler tried to entertain the tinselled field riders. Eventually Goffe plucked up the courage to move back east, where our foot teams were still waiting for him. He hunted towards Middlefield on land owned by Philip Evelyn Shirley, but the positioning of our sabs meant that Goffe couldn't escape our scrutiny. Hounds went into cry in a hedgerow near Talton Farm but our vehicle was there and so Goffe exited the area, running for SSSI Knavenhill Wood. With a foot team south, one east, our vehicle positioned at Knavenhill Farm and the drone hovering over the hunt, we watched blatant hunting unfold. A fox was seen fleeing from behind the farm running along hedgerows. Goffe actively encouraged hounds in this area, hunting Knavenhill, on land owned by Mandy Caroline Eastwood, and the surrounding hedgerows. Once again, Jack Weedon got over excited, banging on our vehicle, while hounds, spilt out onto the road. They began heading into Alderminster, and towards Atherstone On Stour. The fox was caught on the drone heading north west into a wood near the dismantled railway whilst Goffe pushed the hounds on putting them back on the line several times as they struggled with the scent. The hounds took a wrong turn away from the fox and headed south, possibly the fox had doubled back on itself back down the other side of the hedge. With light rapidly fading and with no other options the hound lorry pulled into John Robert Hodgkinson's Shennington House to call it a day. We would like to thank each and every one of you that has and does continue to support us, this is an extremely busy time of year.
