Radiohead - The Daily Mail - San Jose, Live, Weds. 4-11-12, Front row, HP Pavilion. Thom Yorke: I don't really know what this song is about :P Other Tidbits: When it was time to enter the Pavilion, the band hadn't finished warming up, so the staff held the first ~150 people at the vomitorium/floor entrance. So when the curtains were finally opened, everybody did a full out sprint to the front rows. Fortunately, I was able to that ~75 yard dash pretty fast so I got in the front row. :P Thom Yorke frequently joked in between songs, asking the audience "Where am I? Where are we?", likely in reference to how it's easy to forget which city they're in when they go on tour. Later in the show, Thom mused that "Yeah, I guess the joke doesn't get any better with repetition, I admit it.." :P Before performing the song "The Daily Mail", Yorke also joked that "I'm not quite sure what it means, but what I do know is that it was written when Bush was in power and Tony Blair was in power... (audience boos)... But I don't really know what the hell it was about." Thom is quite a jokester, lol. After the first 4 songs, security started actively pointing down cameras. However, after Thom Yorke mentioned (at the end of Karma Police) that you can listen to his songs on YouTube, security suddenly stopped their point downs and gradually all the fans started holding their cameras up again. After the show, a nearby fan caught a balled-up piece of paper which turned out not to be a setlist, but the lyrics to 'Planet Telex'. I guess because Thom Yorke hadn't performed that song since 2009, he was worried about forgetting the words :P Setlist: 1. Bloom 2. 15 Step 3. Morning Mr. Magpie 4. Kid A 5. Staircase 6.
