UCIe™ - Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express™ - is an open industry standard created by leaders in semiconductors, packaging, IP vendors, foundries and cloud service providers to meet customer demand for more customizable package-level integration. The UCIe Alliance was formed to facilitate the development of an open silicon ecosystem by providing high-bandwidth, low-latency, energy-efficient and cost-effective on-package connectivity between chips. Recently, the UCIe Alliance officially released the UCIe 1.1 specification, which extends the reliability mechanism to more protocols, supports a wider range of usage models, and enhances functionality for the automotive sector. The UCIe 1.1 specification is fully backward compatible with the UCIe 1.0 specification and is now available to the public.
