Organist Mark Laubach is playing the Viscount Unico 370DK at Chapel of Christ the King at King's College in Wilkes Barre, PA. Mark Laubach served as Organist and Choirmaster of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Wilkes-Barre since January 1986, where he administers an active liturgical and choral music program, concert series, and Music from St. Stephen’s, a radio broadcast heard weekly on WVIA 89.9 FM Public Radio. The Unico series is a line of classic organs developed using Viscount's award-winning and patented Physis® physical modeling technology, . Physis® uses physically modeled pipe organ pipes to create an incredibly realistic-sounding digital or hybrid pipe organ. In addition, through Physis® technology, manuals (keyboards) replicates the specific subtle bottom resistance a classic organist will expect from their instrument. This provides the organist with the tactile experience that makes playing the pipe organ so exciting and unique. Thanks to Viscount's advanced technology, they have been able to replicate the magnificence of a pipe organ into the convenience of one of our finely crafted consoles. With over 1400 Voices Available in Physis® Library you can make this Your Organ. Your Sound™. Each 370DK uses True Room and Room Humidity Modeling, Pipe Organ Windchest Simulation, plus a multi-channel external sound system recommended for churches and institutions to produce a sound tailored to your environment. Each physically-modeled pipe stop is digitally rendered to fit the nature of the specific instrument utilizing Physis®. From pipe diameter to the effects created from aging and more, we’re able to program each pipe to literally sound exactly like a real, physical pipe organ pipe. Thanks to powerful processors, the sound of Viscount's digital organs are created not through the decades-old “sample” (digital recording), but instead by reconstructing the sound IN REAL TIME. This process reproduces all the natural aspects of the sound right down to the smallest imperfections and slight irregularities that give a real pipe organ it's ever-changing sound and warmth. It sounds more like and it plays more like a real pipe organ. #physistechnology #physicalmodeling #graftonpianoorgan #hybridorgan #musicministry #digitalorgan #churchorgan #unico370dk
