The Weld-Blundell Prism (c. 1800 BCE, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford; CDLI; Ancient Origins), inscribed on all four faces with the complete Sumerian King List, opens with a declaration the tablets never qualify or soften: "After the kingship descended from heaven, the kingship was in Eridu." The document does not say kingship was invented by humans. It says it was delivered — from above — to a specific location, to a specific lineage, and that every legitimate ruler of every subsequent civilization held authority only because that original descent was traceable through their blood. The eight pre-flood kings who ruled a combined 241,200 years across five cities are not framed as legends. They are framed as the founding bearers of a divine institutional structure that the flood interrupted but did not erase. When the waters receded, the tablets record exactly the same phrase: "kingship descended from heaven again" — and the dynasties resumed, bloodline intact. The mechanism that made this bloodline legible — and therefore controllable — was the Me (𒈨), the 94 divine powers governing every function of civilization: kingship, priesthood, law, writing, music, craftsmanship, warfare, and descent (ETCSL, Inana and Enki; Wikipedia; Mifologia). Whoever held the Me held the right to organize civilization. The Sumerian record shows these powers were not distributed equally — they were concentrated, transferred, and in the case of Inanna's acquisition of them from Enki's Abzu, aggressively seized. The clearest expression of what this divine bloodline looked like in flesh appears in the Epic of Gilgamesh (Britannica; Wikipedia; Answers in Genesis): the king of Uruk is described as "two-thirds god, one-third human" — his mother the goddess Ninsun, his lineage traced directly to the Anunnaki hierarchy. The tablets do not present this as metaphor. They present it as a factual genealogical credential that justified his rule over the city-state that held Inanna's Me. The question the channel title asks — whether these bloodlines are still controlling human civilization today — is precisely what the Sumerian scribes encoded as an open-ended claim: that kingship, once descended from heaven, does not stop. History for Sleep reads the original King List passages, the Me transfer, and the Gilgamesh genealogy tonight in full. Settle in. The list never ended. It just stopped being written down. #SumerianRecords #HistoryForSleep #Anunnaki #AncientBloodlines #SumerianKingList #WeldBlundellPrism #KingshipFromHeaven #MeDivinePowers #Gilgamesh #Ninsun #Inanna #DivineDescent #RulingBloodlines #CuneiformTablets #AncientMesopotamia #AncientMysteries #SleepPodcast #AncientHistory #MesopotamianMythology #SumerianMythology #DivineLegitimacy #AnunnakiBloodline #TwoThirdsGod #241200Years #AlulimEridu #KingListTablets #SleepHistory #HistoryNarration #ForbiddenHistory #EliteBloodlines
