We never outgrow joy — we just stop allowing it. As kids, we dreamed big, played hard, and believed adulthood meant freedom. Somewhere along the way, we traded wonder for responsibility… and never noticed what we lost. As kids, we couldn’t wait to grow up. We imagined driving our first car to the amusement park, buying the toys we wanted, and having complete freedom to enjoy life. Christmas mornings were magic — not just for us, but for our parents too. I still remember my dad playing with our toys right alongside us, just as excited as we were. But something strange happens as we grow older. We don’t stop wanting fun — we stop allowing it. Somewhere along the way, play becomes “childish,” joy becomes “irresponsible,” and imagination gets replaced by routine. We still love the same things… we just don’t do them anymore. In this video, I talk about: Why adults abandon joy without realizing it How we confuse maturity with seriousness The quiet sadness of dreams we never revisit And why it’s not too late to reclaim what we lost This isn’t about toys. It’s about permission. If this resonates with you, you’re not alone.
