Here is another shorter compilation of several movements over the general Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbor region, stretching from the south portal of the Alameda Corridor to the ports in San Pedro, Terminal Island, and Long Beach. Three railroads play a crucial role in keeping the port in motion: BNSF and Union Pacific, the two Class I railroads that carry manifest and intermodal freight in and out of the ports, and Pacific Harbor Line (PHL), a shortline railroad responsible for linking the two together. In this compilation, we visit a few locations in the area such as Long Beach Jct, McFarland, Pasha, the Wilmington Lead, Mead Yard, Wilmington and San Pedro Sub Branches, and West Thenard, observing the vast scope and providing a comprehesive overview of the operation down by the harbor. Everything from intermodals, to manifest, to unit trains, and even local switchers from all three railroads are covered in this video. With this being a round-the-clock operation, there's always something to see, with the majority of it being condensed into this 20-minute-long film. Thanks for watching! © 2026 LARailProductions
