A vlog from the Pali Notches hike, one of the most dangerous trails in Hawaii which was made particularly challenging with the elements of wind and rain. This was without a doubt the scariest hike I have ever taken on. It was short and not particularly difficult (if you are in decent shape), but there many points in the trail where mistakes can be (and have proved to be for others) fatal. The trail also requires trusting ropes that are not maintained for parts of the climb. If you do attempt this hike, please prepare for the risks and know that the trail has claimed the lives of young hikers as recently as 2015. DO NOT take this hike lightly, do not try this if you are not an experienced hiker/with an experienced hiker, and do not try this unless weather conditions are favorable. Remember that there's nothing wrong with turning around if it looks too daunting. Better safe than sorry.
