My second pair of Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X headphones have fallen apart - Time to change brands?

I love the sound out of my Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X headphones but they have a bad design as far as the foam cushion for the headband is concerned. These are my second pair of DT 700 Pro Xs and the exact same thing has happened and the foam pad on the headband has fallen apart. I would be less critical if I were putting undue stress on the headphones. However, they are permanently at my work table, connected to my monitor for general playback or connected to my audio interface for mixing. They most certainly aren't being used outside of what they were designed for. While I have no problem with the rest of the construction of the headphones and as I've already said, I love their sound. I will be seriously considering replacing these with another brand, such as Sennheiser, AKG etc. My advice to you is to seriously consider this issue if you are thinking about buying a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X headphones.
