Another ride on Chuckanut today riding Double Black Diamond and Double Down Bellingham is loaded with mountain biking trails suitable for all rider ability levels. In my opinion, the availability of mountain biking trails, the length of the riding season, and the variety of trails along with the mountain biking culture make Bellingham the best place for anyone who loves being on two wheels. Today we rode at Chuckanut which is just outside of Bellingham and a local favorite mountain biking trail. (Trails: Double Black and Double Down) These are technical, rooty, and steep in sections with a few tricky spots and fun drops (rollable with a ride around/walkarounds). Be sure to check out local Bellingham breweries as most of them are mountain bike friendly, especially Kulshan Trackside in the summer months if you want to sit outside with your bike and enjoy the sunshine.
