ALL 4 ACCUSED IN TELANGANA VET RAPE-MURDER CASE KILLED IN POLICE ‘ENCOUNTER’

All four accused in the gang-rape and murder of a 26-year-old female veterinarian in Telangana have been killed in an encounter with police. The incident took place when the accused were taken to offence site for reconstruction of the crime sense as part of the investigation.The four men, all lorry workers, aged between 20 and 24, were arrested on November 29 for allegedly raping and killing the woman by smothering her and later burning her body. The crime had rocked the nation, with people demanding harsh punishment for the offenders. The Parliament also discussed the issue, with several members expressing anguish at the dastardly act and demanding severe punishment for the perpetrators.
