Disclaimer - This cinematic is disconnected from universe of the 3 other cinematics I have made. In terms of lore, this is connected to the survival series, however these events do not directly affect that story, and are more of a backdrop to the rest of humanity. Lore 49 AF (After Fall) - 3 weeks after the United Martian Alliance declared war on the Imperium of Teal, both sides defenses had fought a grueling opening to the war, costing the lives of many. However, IOT has received intel on a set of UMA facilities mostly undefended due to UMA forces being pushed to fill gaps in the front line. Thus, IOT dispatched the Heavy Cruiser 'Dark Forest' alongside the Corvette 'Zealot' to attack these facilities. Commander Harris Smith of the UMA destroyer 'Waterfall' suspected some form of attack, and altered his ship's patrol route, to attempt to detect any enemy forces before being able to assault the vulnerable stations. After detecting the 'Dark Forest' the outgunned and out-massed destroyers decided to engage, banking on their speed and element of surprise to win the day...
