Have you ever wondered why you can get both flat and depressed cutting discs – or why RHODIUS offers many of its series in both types? Flat cutting discs tend to have longer lifetimes than discs made from the same materials and with the same diameter. Thanks to the flat profile (type 41), these discs also penetrate further into the workpiece. In contrast, depressed discs have a lot less wobble and greater stability, which means that this type (type 42) is used for very thin cutting discs as well as discs with larger diameters.
