Added this Farkra Antenna adapater and connected the radios ANT wire to the blue wire on the Fakra Adapter and everything is coming in crystal clear now. As advertised I didn't need to use the blue wire, but the antenna is working great so far. I purchased all the required wiring from enfig including the Antenna Adapter for the Pioneer W4400NEX unit. My only problem was getting the radio to actually work. This adapter from Metra, although the image is wrong, worked perfectly. Previously, all I would get was static without the blue wire connected to the blue Antenna Power/Amplifier Power wires, or dead silence with the blue wire connected. Now, installed in exactly the same way, this adapter enables perfectly clear AM/FM radio. Note that the image in the listing is not the actual item. It is a metal cylinder. I checked to make sure the model number on the packaging match the model number in the listing, and it does. Do not worry, it works and is the right item -- Amazon just has the wrong image. Ive attached a image of the adapter received. Worked as described and was easy to install with the directions provided. Connected right up, fixed reception issues from using wrong adapter with aftermarket radio 2012 VW Eos Installed this in my 2014 Jetta SE (2.0L, 5-speed manual). Worked perfectly, its crystal clear. Using a Pioneer FH-X731BT radio. Just remember to connect the ground on this thing if youre getting noise on the line.
