Welcome to the show. In this episode Dan and I are embarking on the latest leg of a long and, at times, torturous journey. Back at the end of 2018 I began the search for a new Strat to take over #1 duties from my old faithful, Blue: a 2001 American Vintage model. Very long story short, I’d been lucky enough to play a bunch of old ones and the unfortunate truth is that dear old Blue simply doesn’t cut it in terms of tone or feel next to the better of the old Strats. The videos in between now and then tell the whole story, but fast forward to Summer 2022 and I now am lucky enough to own three more guitars that hopefully bring the story to some temporary closure.
