Dr. Colin Halverson joined us at the 2025 EDS ECHO Summit: Mental Health event to discuss Trauma and Mistrust in the Clinic Visit. This presentation focuses on clinician-associated traumatization, self-doubt, and the negative impact on patients' relationship with the healthcare system. Colin Halverson received his PhD in medical and linguistic anthropology from the University of Chicago, completed a postdoctoral fellowship in medical ethics at Vanderbilt University, and is a professor in the Center for Bioethics at Indiana University, where his research focuses on improving the care for patients with rare disease, in particular, the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes.
