Brut, My Beauty: Jean Dubuffet and Jean-Michel Basquiat

In 1981, poet Rene Ricard wrote “If Cy Twombly and Jean Dubuffet had a baby and gave it up for adoption, it would be Jean-Michel.” Was he on to something? In this short film, directed by Sophia Loren Heriveaux (Goldfin Films), we explore the striking parallels between the life and works of Dubuffet and Basquiat.
