To mark this channel's second anniversary, I decided to undertake a three-stage walk to a site I haven't visited in 30 years. This video covers the second leg from Uijeongbu Station to Bosan Station in the town of Dongducheon. I was stationed in Dongducheon from 1991-1993, my first two years in Korea, as a US Army medic. Before this walk, I'd only been back twice since I left, and the last visit was around 2010. It's a completely different place now, with very little remaining of what I once knew. In the third and final video of this miniseries, we'll walk from Dongducheon to a site in the countryside to talk about why I was visited it in the past and the history I've recently learned about it.
