The Inner Self - Journey To Your Higher Consciousness

The heroes journey that we all face is a personal evolution toward our own higher consciousness. The great story of our lives is what we return to when we're out of alignment in order to move forward. To fulfill our meaning is difficult, sometimes it's hard to stay mindful that we're even on a journey of self-discovery at all. This is why identity is central to realizing our grander vision for our lives. Who we are and what we want are one and the same. But figuring out who we are is not easy because we're heavily influenced by our environment and relationships. It is therefore essential that we stay connected with our inner self. But what do I actually mean by the inner self? In this video, I argue that it is actually an accessible part of our consciousness that we can use to help shape the direction our lives take. It's the part of us that pushes us to be better, to seek out new experiences, and to strive for something greater. It is the great arbiter of our mind's eye. As Friedrich Nietzsche famously said, "He who has a why to live can bear almost any how”, but in this video it is asserted that “he whose how has been strengthened can achieve almost any why." In other words, having a clear purpose or reason for living can help us overcome hardships, but having a strong connection to the self allows us to figure out that purpose and reason for living in the first place. Furthermore it allows us to continuously evaluate this greater purpose as life unfolds. Living your life with meaning and connection to the inner self go hand in hand.
