(1 Nov 2017) VICTORIA'S SECRET ANGEL REVEALS LAIS RIBEIRO WILL WEAR $2 MILLION FANTASY BRA Victoria's Secret Angel Lais Ribeiro has been chosen to wear the 2017 Champagne Night Fantasy Bra on the runway at the lingerie company's annual fashion show. Ribeiro was ecstatic Tuesday (31OCT2017) at the company's Fifth Avenue store in New York. At the unveiling, the 27-year old Angel recalled how she reacted when she heard the news. "Through my mind, a lot of emotions, but at first, I cry a lot. A lot, you have to check out the video. I cry a lot. I was just so thankful and proud and honored and to be chose. It's just model in the whole entire show. We are sixty, so it's something else. It's very important," she said. Ribeiro was referring to a video recording of a recent fitting for the show where she was surprised with the announcement. This year's location for the show is Shanghai, and Ribeiro plans to arrive a few days early to take in the city. "Well, it's one of the capitols of fashion in Asia, so, you know, we are very excited to be there, of course, but I just want to explore, you know, the city. I've never been there for such a long time. I just wanna get- the fan base there is very, very strong. I'm very excited for that also." The single mother already considers herself blessed, so to put on the fantasy bra, too - life doesn't get much better. "Oh no, not better than this and my family and friends and everybody that always supported me, so I'm just very happy." Ribeiro strutted the catwalk several times for Victoria's Secret, but this is her first time wearing the bra, which has been valued at $2 million. "It's made of diamonds, yellow sapphires, topaz, and uh, it's over 600 carats. It took over three hundred hours to create, and Mouawad was the jeweler, the designer who made it. He's the partner, the official partner this year for Victoria's Secret, so it's just a beauty. I'm just so honored to be wearing it." Unfortunately, wearing it on the catwalk doesn't mean you get to take it home. "Ah, I wish," she said. The show airs November 28 on CBS.
