Three Salford Lads

I originally photographed Stephen Lord (famous actor inc. Shameless, East Enders, etc), brother Anthony Lord and John Howells in 1977. In 2012 I decided to find some of the people that I had photographed in 1977, to find out their stories and re photograph them. I had an article published in the Salford advertiser and the Manchester Evening News. I soon got messages saying who these people are and I made contact and with the help of Salford 0n Line run by Tom Rogers and Tony Flynn (now Salford Media) Stephen, Anthony and John tell their stories, with Tom interviewing them. They were edited and published by Tom Rogers in 2012 Salford-on-Line closed down in 2016 These and 100 + prints of mine can be seen in SALFORD 77, An Exhibition of photographs from 1977 by Phil Portus.
