Todays installment brings us to this Trader Joe's location , where we tested our freedom to record along the public sidewalk. Things were going well until the main encounter of the day happened. It came from a woman who got loud & hysterical because she assumed we wanted to know her legal status in the country. There was no mention or indication that was our intention. She then declared her support for Donald Trump & proclaimed she is a proud republican. None of us couldn't care less of her political affiliation, but since she made such a scene, that's why I dubbed her MAGA Karen. It just goes to show it's not just liberals who freak out over a camera. A bystander who wasn't affiliated with us walked up to her in the parking lot to confront her. As he had his phone out, there was a brief altercation & that's when she went inside to call police. An officer did arrive within 10 minutes & proceeded to speak with her. As she was coming back to her car to leave, I asked if she got a box of tissues to wipe her tears. The officer waited till she backed up & left the property before heading back to his patrol car & left as well.
