Assalamuwalikum Everyone , today I am making this video to share my 2022 Haj journey, with intention to help people who is travelling to for Haj 2023. Following are my experiences. Ehram cloth & Belt a. Prefer the cotton cloth with light weight rather turkey type with heavy coz heavy material will be heavy to carry , wear and it will occupy lots of space in the bag. b. Having the Belt will be useful in Ehram 2. Sandals a. Prefer minimum two pairs, good quality which are soft b. Do not pack new , try to use for some days before you pack by that it will be comfortable 3. Umbrella a. To protect from sun and rain please carry the lightweight umbrella, during the day while you go out it is mandatory to have umbrella to protect from sun 4. Sunglass a. Sunglasses will help you to go out as sun light reflection will be extreme 5. Lite thread Bag a. Lite thread bag to carry sandals, small items when you go to Haram (site) b. Do not go to Haram (site) with backpack as it is not allowed to go inside with backpack 6. Handbag a. In state of Ehram to carry passport, wallet, mobile, money carry the handbag as shown 7. Backpack a. While travelling to Mina , our belongings will be carried only in backpack so have the backpack and ensure light weight as that required to be carried by you 8. Tie Mark for all Bags a. All bags may look similar to avoid the missing and taking some one else bag better to tie cloth/identification to avoid misplacing 9. SIM Card a. Take sim for everyone to have local communication, SIM cards will be available for free at Jedda airport and b. Prefer to have the same brand to have the offers applicable, to consider signal take different brand 10. Mobile Charger a. Normal Indian type charger pins won’t fit , so please carry the converter 11. International Bank card a. I have taken the card which I am using in Doha which made me easy to draw money without extra exchange charges b. Carry the international card if required money, can be withdrawn 12. Pin the location a. As travelling new location, there is chances of missing/forgetting the landmarks please take the photo of the hotel, mina tent b. Please pin the location in WhatsApp , in case you need to return to hotel /mina tent it can guide you/to guide taxi driver as well 13. Basic medicines a. Carry the medicine if you have health issues b. carry basic medicines like fever, cough, clod, headache, motions 14. Ladies scarf a. Most of the ladies prefer the white and black color scarf for easy identification prefer the bright different color scarf for ladies 15. Cloth hanging clips, wire a. Ehram/inner/cloths may require washing in between not able to wait for laundry in that case to dry them ensure you carry the clips and wire 16. Surf Small packs a. Carry small packs of surf to be used in each wash does not carry one big pack , cause while you need to travel it will be difficult to carry open packs 17. Counter a. Carry the counter as shown to count the tawaf rounds, Safa-Marwa rounds 18. Water bottle a. In haram (site) clod water and normal water available, please be care-full drinking, drink as required , cold water can make you cold. b. Carry the bottle to have the water in case if water not available also to normalize the cold-water bottle can help you. 19. Good Razor /Scissor a. For Halaq during the Haj , it will be challenged to find the barber shop, so carry multiple good quality use and through razor. b. For ladies carry the scissor c. During the Umrah at Haram (mosque) you will find many barber shops so no issue to cut/shave hair 20. Landmarks /identification Common mistake during the journey , due to crowd its commonly we may miss and when we need tell the landmark people tell like white tent, washroom, gate which is difficult to find so better to have the landmarks/ always inform with Tent number, WC Number , Gate number to have easy understandings.
