Sociable Soccer 24 Review - Modern Day Sensible Soccer, But Is It Any Good?

It's increasingly becoming apparent that I'm old. I can tell because if I'm ever given even the smallest opening, I will talk about 'Sensi'. Sensible Soccer, or Sensible World of Soccer, is an all timer, I actually prefer the Mega Drive version in terms of gameplay, over the pc version, but it lacked the management aspect of SWOS. Sociable Soccer doesn't offer that, instead the career mode takes the form of a card game, with cards/players awarded as you progress through games. It's good, but it's lacking, considering the length of the career mode I wish there were more to it. The always online aspect is a bit of a killer if you're taking your Steam Deck (or Switch) outside, but according to the devs there's a patch coming that will remove that requirement in some form. I think it was short-sighted it being there at all, especially for something this disposable, but I'm just an old man who who lives in the past
