PHYLIDA: NO TIME TO DIE .. BOND! on a budget!

No Dime to Buy I know I'm late to the game reviewing this watch but I like to think I made up for it by having an extra classy intro (to which I also wrote my own version of the James Bond theme especially for this) with lots of REALLY juicy photography of the watch and it's movement. I like to call this homage watch the 'No dime to buy' watch. For reasons that should be painfully obvious. The 2020 Omega Bond costs $14,000 CAD, and the Phylida Homage costs $225 CAD. So .. now you know where the title comes in. To be clear .. this watch is NOT a fake watch. A fake watch is something attempting to deceive you into thinking it IS the real thing. Whereas a homage watch, although it may be superficially similar .. does not attempt to promote itself as the brand its imitating. It is at worst a cheap imitation, but in fairness to the quality of this watch I would personally classify this as a cheeky, but high quality homage. A terrific watch. Something I neglected to mention in the video is that the reason I feel this watch will do well is not so much for luxury watch enthusiasts (obviously) .. but for fans of the James Bond movies. At the end of the day this watch is product placement, and I find it ridiculous that Omega felt the need to make such an overly expensive watch when it's going to be cinema goers that will most likely want to buy this watch. And if anything .. Omega should have made a steel version at half the price .. as it seems the greater cost of the real watch is in the fact that it is made out of titanium. And so I feel this Phylida watch fills this gap in the market. For those of us not born into oodles of wealth .. if you wanna fulfill your wildest Bond fantasies here's a MUCH cheaper way to do it. And in fairness to this watch .. it's actually a pretty damned good watch too. Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoy.
