351 | Hiking to VALLE FRANCES!! Torres Del Paine!! (Patagonia Travel VLOG)

2 December 2019 - Day 102 - Valle Frances | 351 Day 102 - Today we head out of El Calafate and head back into the trekking capital of the world - Torres del Paine!🏔🏔🏔 At 7am we catch a 2.5hr bus out of Puerto Natales and head to Pudeto. From here we catch a 45min Catamarán (23,000CLP, $48AUD) across Lago Peho to Refugio Paine Grande. We check in at 12:30pm and head out for our 9.5km hike towards Valle del Frances which is basically in the middle of the W trail. Nestled between the 2 main cerros of Torres del Paine, we past through open landscapes then into the valley, cross waterfalls and climb up rock slides until we reach our viewpoint! 🌲🐝💐🌼 We make our way back to base camp as we watch the clouds roll over the granite mountains, sun piercing through the clouds, and condors flying over in the distance! 🗻⛅️🦅 Definitely made the right choice to pay a bit extra - ALOT extra, and stay in the refuge instead of a tent as it was exactly what I needed after a big day out! 🏕 A decent first day as we completed 25.4km and 39,100 steps!!
