Mystery Basket Throwdown: Student Chefs Face Off in FCPS Kitchen!

FCPS hosted its first-ever Mystery Basket Throwdown, a fast-paced student cooking competition inspired by “Chopped.” Culinary arts students from Marshall, South Lakes, and Annandale High Schools went head-to-head to create original dishes from a mystery basket of ingredients. The winning team’s menu item will be featured on school menus across FCPS, giving students the opportunity to see their creation served in cafeterias districtwide. This event highlights the partnership between Food and Nutrition Services and Family & Consumer Sciences in inspiring the next generation of chefs and promoting student engagement in school nutrition.
