IND VS SA: Snake Enters the Ground During the 2nd T20 | ISH News

India defeated South Africa by 16 Runs in its second T20 match. The match was played on the evening of 2nd October, Sunday at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, Assam. Guwahati hosts a very few international matches, and that's why thousands of people reached to witness all the live action from Ind vs SA 2nd T20I. Indian batters showed a brilliant performance and took the India side to the score of 237 runs in 20 overs, thanks to the massive partnership of Virat Kohli & Suraya Kumar Yadav. The stadium in Guwahati was flooded with spectators for this high performance game. An incident occurred after the end of the seventh over of the Indian innings when the play was suddenly halted. The cameras initially showed the Indian batters and South African fielders looking in a particular direction, before the snake appeared on the big screen. Immediately, the ground-staff came rushing onto the field to escort the uninvited visitor off the ground. It required four people to catch the snake and take it off the field. Notably, this incident is also one of the most bizarre instances to bring a match to halt. In the past, there have been other strange instances too. During a Test match between India and New Zealand in Napier in 2019, the game was stopped due to excessive sunlight. Meanwhile, a Test match between South Africa and Bangladesh also had a strange halt, with lunch getting delayed by 10 minutes after caterers entrusted to bring food for the players failed to reach on time.
