Daisy was originally installed in 1973, a Thiokol triple. It became the first beginner chairlift at Stevens Pass. Being the only beginner lift at the resort, a replacement made sense, since the lift was getting old compared to the other lifts at the resort in the 2010's. Soon after Vail's acquisition of the resort in 2018, they invested in a new lift, a quad chair, to up capacity and ease loading for beginners. Daisy is a Doppelmayr quad. It uses ej chairs, Alpen Star drive-tension terminal, and beginner-friendly safety bars. Despite the upgrade, the lift often slows and stops, driven by the constant crowds Stevens Pass receives these days. A loading carpet/queuing gates could have helped with this issue, then again, this is the only chair at the entire resort to serve green runs. That leaves all the many learners who come to Stevens with just one chairlift.
