Finding quiet by the sea. Today I set up my light weight cook kit amidst the shelter of the rock pools below the old lighthouse - conical wind shield, 3FUL burner and titanium cup set from Outdoor Gear Essentials - and let the simple task of making a hot chocolate slow everything down. The ocean, like me, was unsettled, so I focussed on the quiet details of the day: putting the stove together, lighting the burner, heating up the milk and the warmth that came from wrapping my hands around the hot mug.
