During my visit to Zion Pepe in September 2021, and walking into the Episcopal Church of Cherubim and Seraphim of Zion, Zion Pepe, Ondo State, I did not only connect with my root as an Ilaje Man, I also ascended the realm of angels as I joined the excited congregation sparkling in white, clean, fine linen (Rev.19:7-9), singing brilliant and melodious songs to the skillful drumming of balu, gemgele, drumset, agogo, sekere and together we matched this with thunderous clapping and accompanied it with joyous dances. The highlight of the day was the performative art of the Prophets (wolis) under the influence of the Holy Spirit. I watched with sheered ecstacy as the Priests/wolis performed their dexterous dancing, acrobatic- turnings and I enjoyed this part the most. I captured this extra-ordinary spectacle of glory and beauty with my brand new Sony Camera. I sat through and knitted the Rare Moment of Animated Praises and Worship for your viewing pleasure and for the greater glory of God.
