I am Der Geher and start at the Elbbrücken station. For a while I walk along the Norderelbe and then across Baakenhafen. At the HafenCity University station there is a view of a light show. Past the Maritime Museum, the next stop is the Überseequartier. The walk ends after a third subway station at the Marco Polo Terraces. Founded in 2008, HafenCity is a fairly new district of Hamburg. Parts of former port areas were combined and now form one of the largest inner-city urban development projects in Europe. By the 2030s, apartments for 14,000 and offices for 45,000 people are to be built. Along the way, it is easy to see the evolution.
