Two centuries later a church was mentioned, the Romanesque details of that era, from the bell tower to the roof, are still visible today. The presbytery is Gothic and other parts have been added and expanded in the past centuries. The church, dedicated to Sant'Antonio Abate (January 17) and to Santa Cristina di Bolsena (July 24), is located on the Parish Square in S. Cristina and near the Alta Via "Troi Paian". It can be accessed through three portals, of which the central one in the west direction can be reached via a stone bridge. Inside there are several attractions for culture lovers, such as the altar from 1690 by the Vinazer family of sculptors. On the altar are depicted the apostles Peter and Paul by Christian Trebinger (16th and 17th century, the oldest sculptor in Val Gardena). In addition there is a bronze statue by Johann Dominik Mahlknecht and the painting "The Baptism of Christ and Saint Martin" by Josef Arnold der Ältere (1788-1879).
