University Professor Janos Kis -- an expert on contemporary political philosophy and democracy -- explained that part of Hungary's current constitutional crisis is partly based on the incomplete constitution making that took place in Hungary during the transition to democracy in the 1990s. In a wide ranging talk, Kis touched on constitutional developments throughout the region as a comparison, and invited audience members to ask him questions about the current constitution writing process in Hungary. Kis was introduced by Oxford University's Denis Galligan of the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies and was organized by CEU's legal studies department and The Foundation for Law, Justice, and Society.
