A strategy of sedition and treachery on the part of the U.S. Kennedy Administration in cahoots with South Vietnamese rebel generals, carried out a deadly, military overthrow from 1962-63, of the 'civilian dictatorship' of President Ngo Dinh Diem, and his vicious, brutal ,repressive brother Ngo Dinh Nhu, chief of South Vietnam's Secret Police. (Ngo is their fraternal last name) Then top secret plot built over time, and the U.S. aware of its possibility gradually became more involved, largely at the hands of U.S. Ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge in Saigon, S. V. and his henchman, CIA agent Lou Conein and with the tacit, even express approval of The White House. The two were overthrown as a renegade S.V. military unit, under the command of General "Big Minh" took over the palace, later capturing Diem and Nhu and assassinating them.
