Waves crashed through the windows at Bay Breeze Restaurant & Bar last Thursday during a powerful storm that caused $5 million of damage across Birch Bay and Blaine. The floor of the restaurant is warped, the windows are boarded up, and the full extent of the structural damage is unknown. “It’s surreal, it really is,” Bay Breeze Manager Jessica Pangilinan said. “I still have a hard time grasping the fact that it’s gone.
