Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party Chief K Annamalai took stock of the waterlogged Valacherry AGS Colony in Chennai and distributed relief materials to people on December 06. He further stated that relief materials are being distributed in other parts of Tamil Nadu. He lashed out at the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Party and stated that the cyclone was a systematic failure of the government. He further added that the people now want solutions, and there’s going to be a big political mindset change in 2024. Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai said, "We've rescued so many people till midnight. Without having any power, just with ordinary citizens’ support, BJP is doing its part...it is very unfortunate to see Chennai reeling under this kind of rain time and again. There is a systemic failure and for the past 45 years, this is the story of Chennai.
