Holter Lake: Gates of the Mountains Tour and Fishing - Helena, Montana area

Wow, I was able to get on a boat for a tour of the Gates of the Mountains near Helena, Montana with Marty. The scenery was amazing for sure. You can launch your own boat there for $10 or you can pay for a guided tour on a large boat that holds more than 20 people. Marty was my guide for the day. The day was going to get pretty windy so Marty picked a place with awesome scenery and some narrow channels to get out of the wind to fish. It's pretty awesome fishing next to a rock wall that goes up 300 + feet. Although the waves weren't big, the wind made it challenging to shoot video without ridiculous wind noise. Enjoy what I got! We stumbles on some perch and caught a bunch of them. I'd say at least 50. A limit is 25 per person and between the two of us we kept 26. A couple of good meals for sure.
