Dreams, like pets, come in all shapes and sizes. Walter Perez knew he wanted to be a veterinarian since he was a boy. Not even practicing out of his family home could get in his way. "My plan was to set up a modest office at my parents' home. As the years went by, I spread all over the house." With help from his mother, who did everything from answering the phone to being an assistant, he eventually moved out into his own clinic.
