To activate the parking brake maintenance mode on a 2017 Ford Fusion with a push start button, follow these steps: Make sure the vehicle is in Park (P) and the engine is off. Locate the push start button on the center console. Press the push start button without starting the engine. This will activate the accessory mode. Completely depress the accelerator, and keep it depressed.
