When making fine-tuned adjustments to our irrigation strategy, we rely heavily on the data collected by our substrate sensors. However, a lot of critical information can also be gathered from the pH, EC, and volume of our runoff. By analyzing the data from our sensors and runoff, we can make informed decisions on how to properly adjust our irrigation events for optimal plant growth. Another very important factor is the placement of our substrate sensors. Since we utilize a select few plants to make all the decisions for our irrigation events, we must ensure that the plant containing the substrate sensor best represents the irrigation zone as a whole.
