Phil Wilmot is an organizer, movement theorist, writer, educator, and prankster. Phil co-founded Solidarity Uganda and works with movement support groups like the Global Social Movement Centre (MOVE), Beautiful Trouble, and the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict. Phil is originally from Pennsylvania and is now based at a Pan-African center for movement training and cooperation in Arusha, Tanzania. Patience Nitumwesiga is an Afrofuturist storyteller and filmmaker from East Africa. Among her many works are two verite films on African women waging creative nonviolent resistance. Nitu has organized several participatory feminist art projects, such as the Wakiso Femicide Quilt which unmasked a censored mass homicide against women in her neighborhood, and various satirical short films. She has traveled extensively through East Africa and elsewhere for theatre and community work relating to peace and conflict. Most of Nitu's time is spent working on films with her production company Shagika.
